Hi, I’m Emma!

I’m based in Dayboro, and at the moment life looks a bit different to what it used to. I’ve recently begun my transition into a new role as a mum, and somewhere along the way things have slowed down, shifted, and lead me back to the creative parts of life I enjoy.

Most of my background is in veterinary nursing, so I’ve spent years in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where you learn to read people (and animals) quickly, stay calm, and just get on with what needs to be done. That doesn’t really switch off, it just shows up a little differently here.

I’m not overly polished, and I’m definitely not going to turn your session into a production. No complicated posing, no pressure to perform, just a bit of guidance where it helps, and the rest left alone.

I like things to feel natural, but not in a forced “look candid now” kind of way. More just… you being yourselves, without someone constantly interrupting it.

Stone Bird came from that.
No big brand story, no grand plan. Just something I enjoy doing, done in a way that feels right.

If you’re after something relaxed and low-key, without it feeling awkward or overdone, we’ll probably get along just fine!
